Tonight hubby and I had dinner downtown and then attended a live interview of Bill Moyers, interviewed by Garrison Keillor. I just love Mr. Moyers! He is intelligent, kind, gentle, thoughtful, respectful, realistic, and eloquent. Also, he is optimistic about our future!!! That alone lifts my spirits.
When we entered a parking ramp before the evening began, we saw B. Moyers walking out of the ramp, about ten feet from us. It felt funny being so close to someone so famous, and him just walking around with another guy in my town, like a normal person! Of course, he would tell me that's exactly what he is.
Apparently he was in town to attend a grandson's graduation. I didn't even know he has family living here!
Can you see the cardinal on a tree branch?
Can you see the ladybug? Also, do you believe me when I say that these two dish cloths are knitted from the same skein of yarn? They are both red, not orange, not pink... and hard to photograph!
In other news (do I sound like a journalist? Pretend I just turned to face a different camera)... I have not finished as many quilts as I had hoped to by now. But I have a couple knitting pictures to show you. That'll have to do for now.
And in still other news (back to camera one).. I am feeling happy and content with life. The weather is beautiful, my family is happy, I have fabulous friends, and life is joyous. It is nice to feel this way after going through a long slump.
My son is visiting friends in another state and is feeling GREAT. He feels refreshed and happy and is recovering from his own trauma. I love to hear him sounding so happy.
I am reading Ahab's Wife by Sena Jeter Naslund. I'm liking it a lot. My only complaint is that I have not had much time to read, so I'm making very little headway in a fat book.

I read Ahabs Wife several years ago and I would really like to read it again. I cannot say it "spoke to me". Are you still working at your part time job?
Glad to hear you are feeling and experiencing positive things! We need that sauce of good to help us with the bad nuggets :) Love the dishcloths. They appear plenty red to me!
