Super Bowl Sewing

It has been a fun Sunday. Church was happy and uplifting today, and there was some lively discussion going on. Great job, Megs and Beth!

After church I spent the whole day sewing with Sunshine. We had a Super Bowl Sew-in, all day. Fun! Our fearless leader gave away prizes on the hour, and everyone got a lot of sewing done for the children. I finished Joanie's quilt! All bound and ready to go! It turned out Gor.ge.ous! And I'm not bragging, because most of it was made and sewn by others. All I did was put it together and bind it. I really didn't think it was going to turn out this super-great. Joanie will love it! (Who wouldn't?) Thanks to all the block makers and to Mary for the super pretty quilting.

I performed a cuddle test on it, and it works!

I also worked on a charms quilt top. The pattern is by Moda and is called Charms Tuesday. I hope it's OK that I worked on it on a Sunday. I ran out of time so I didn't get this one finished. Now I'm concentrating on attaching hanging sleeves and other last minute duties on my quilts that will be in my guild's show. They are due by this Friday!

Today was another beautiful day, so I did go outside for a short walk, to breathe in the beauty and spring air. (It won't be spring for a long time here in Minnesota, but it felt like the hint of spring today.) While walking and sewing I am remembering to pray for Emmy. She's doing better, but is still a sick little girl.

The star quilt is just beautiful...and your Charm quilt is great. I just joined Sunshine this weekend and would really like to get going on some quilts for kids.

Absolutely beautiful quilt. I really like the way you didn't set the blocks even. It really makes the quilt lively.

That's one thing I love about that quilting pattern ... it's pretty but the quilt stays nice and cuddly! Glad you got it finished!
