Design Wall Monday: May 24, 2010

I'm working with orphan blocks so I can get them put into a quilt top and out of my scrap box! To see other design walls, click here.

Those nine patches with black really give some pizazz! I'm sure those orphan blocks multiply when we're not looking! Can you believe I still don't have a design wall--I use the floor or the spare bed--maybe one day I'll break done and put one up. I tried something and it doesn't stick, so I don't even use it as I don't want to ruin the wall behind it and stick pins into the wall!

Good for you - I should do that,too... And yes the 9-patches do give spunk to the whole setting!

Love a good orphan block quilt!

When it's done you might send a picture of it to the "Riding the Orphan Train" blog (http://orphantrainsfromfinn.blogspot.com/) and maybe Finn will post it to her site as well.

I need to start my own orphan block box. Somehow they accumulate when I'm not looking. That's gonna be a fun quilt.

I love coming to your blog to get a splash of color. Do you have a favorite quilt pattern?
