One thing I did was make this toy. Thanks for the fabrics, Kim! (Do you recognize them?) I'm also working on a slideshow of our mission trip pictures.
My house is sad that I gave up so quickly and wishes that a dynamite mission team would knock on the door with rags, mops, and face masks in hand, ready to attack my mess! Until that happens, I'll keep galumphing along... and to be honest, I would die of shame if any mission team actually saw my house right now.

Welcome home. I've really enjoyed your posts the last few weeks. The toy drop idea is wonderful.
Your posts from your trip are wonderful! Glad everyone is safe! Welcome home and don't worry about the mess!
Sounds like you need a party! Good thing you're going to one tonight! See you there!
I tackled Lindsay's room AND the living room and dining room the past two days... 3 down...5 to go! Good Luck with the cleaning... Just Do It my friend!
Sorry I haven't commented much. Been doing much of my reading from my IPod which doesn't work well to comment. I love your mission posts. LOVE THEM. I can totally relate to having a house in chaos. That is mine. Right here. Right now :)
Sadly, my house could use a mission team about now too. After 2 months of hand problems, the cleaning has suffered. And, like you, I'd really rather sew. I'm plodding along, but not making much of a dent. One of these days, probably when someone is going to come over, more will get done. I swore I wouldn't let this happen after we moved. *sigh*
I just love that toy! Here is an idea, put it in the front window and those that come will not see anything but the toy!
I am very minimulistic in my house so it's pretty easy to clean and my sewing area is in the basement, so no one goes there uninvited.
The less I have the less I have to clean. Mind you it's just 2 of us and the dog...Now he is messy!
HA! I do recognize that fabric and I am so happy that you put it to such good use ~ as I knew you would!! Cleaning and organizing a house is hard work and not nearly as much fun as when you have a team of friends there to keep you motivated. It's summer time and nobody wants to clean house when the outdoors is warm and welcoming. "Summer" has finally arrived here in the Northland, we've hit the 80's and it's huuuumid! Cute toy. :)
Wouldn't that be just cool -- if a group of folks came in and said "we're here to help you clean your house"!? I think I'd love it. And I think they could actually get rid of some things I can't part with! Oh, well.. sometimes we just have to count our blessings with all those accumulations. Summer has charged in with a bang up here near the Canadian border, too.
