My Dear Mother

I have been away, helping take care of my elderly mother. After several weeks of illness and pain, she passed away peacefully on September 21, 2016, surrounded by her three daughters and her oldest grandchild. She was 95. What a life of accomplishment she lived! She was intelligent, strong, and kind. I am going to miss her a lot.

Memorial Service will be next Monday. We are all emotionally spent and exhausted. I'm still a little bit in shock.

How wonderful to have such a long life and great relationships- being surrounded by family at a peaceful passing. We can't expect much more, but people like your mom leave a big hole. My wish for you is that your creative endeavours will help you grieve your wonderful mother in a way that will honour her life.
Blessings!
Betty

Your mom was sure a fighter through many bad times. I'm sorry for your loss and hope your memorial celebration will be a wonderful time with friends and family that all love your mother too.

I saw your post on FB about wearing red to her memorial service as that was her favorite color. I hope that "sea of red" is both a celebration of and a comfort for a life well lived.

I am sorry. Take care of yourself. I know the feeling of emotionally spent and exhausted. My Mother passed away in 2010, some days its still emotional and exhausting to even think about it. I'll pray for peace and comfort for you and your family.
