As usual, my 3-day weekend flew by way too fast. Suddenly it is 10 o'clock on Sunday (oops - Monday) night, and tomorrow is another work day. How did that happen?
I had a lot of home time this weekend, which I loved. Did a lot of sewing, and a little housework, and not enough reading. On Saturday Charles and I had a nice dinner out with Son and DIL.
What a gorgeous day it was today! I went out on an errand and noticed the gorgeous, blue sky -- decided to go for a walk later and take photos, but I forgot! I had gotten so engrossed in the quilt I'm trying to create. OK, and also engrossed in Dr. Phil and Oprah. I'll admit it.
made a few toys; the top left toy is being donated to Craft Hope for Haiti to benefit Doctors Without Borders (see my previous post)
made this one from scraps, machine quilted it, and...
...I like the back better than the front!
This quilt is so pretty, I think! But I machine quilted it and had some struggles and still need to rip out some of the ugly spots and re-do the quilting.
This is the current project that will turn into a quillow.
I'm going to make the current quilt project into a quillow, which I haven't done in ages, so I have to read the pattern carefully. I am not a good reader of instructions. I'd rather just wing it than read a bunch of little print on how to do it. Blecch! I don't think it's very complicated, though. I should be able to figure it out in no time.
If you are wondering what a quillow is, I think this link will help you. It shows a little moving picture of a quillow being folded in and unfolded, so you'll get the idea:

I have a quillow given to me at a baby shower when I was pregnant with my oldest over 20 years ago. Threadbare and faded - but I still love it. Your little stuffed toys are way too cute.
The green quilt is beautiful just as it is!
Don't forget that the quilt police don't exist, and that if the quilting passes the "can you see the mistake from the back of a running horse?" test, it's not a mistake

The last two quilts are great. I particularly like what you did with the sashing in the last one. The red dots really highlight the squares. Don't you just love doing scrap blocks? It is like putting together a puzzle.
loved all your projects but the last crumb project to be a quillo was outstanding. great weekend!
