Amish Quilts

We had a long guild meeting tonight. Our speaker had a bunch of Amish quilts to show us. This was one of my favorites. The log cabin center was made in the 40s, and the last border was added in the 60s and then it was quilted, by hand, of course. She had a ton more, and I have more pictures, but it's bedtime, so I'll have to post those later, after my Beauty Rest. Nighty-night!

Ooohh, amazing. It looks like light is bouncing off of it, doesn't it?

Absolutely stunning. The illusion of light and movement is something I've never seen quite like this before. Definitely looking forward to more photos.

Those quilts are always so well colour coordinated...amazing work and not colours I use, but would want to after seeing that one for sure.
And hand done right?
