This Will Have to Do

This last weekend when I had made enough progress on organizing my sewing room, I dedicated my time to finishing items for the bazaar at church. The bazaar takes place this Wednesday. The main event is a turkey dinner, and then a few people buy stuff at the bazaar. As usual, I didn't get as much done as I had in mind, or even that I started... I have one more table runner quilted but not bound, and a baby quilt that is quilted but not bound. (I'm not going to push it. I just don't have time to finish them.) And I have another table runner that didn't even get quilted. Maybe I'll give it to someone for Christmas, or maybe it'll go into next year's bazaar. These things that I finished will just have to do.

Some of these pictures are repeats, some are new.

Small Santa wall hanging, about 8" x 12". The ribbon is just for show in the picture. It doesn't go with the quilt.

This Christmas table runner seemed a little boring, so I added some twinklies to make it appear more Christmasy. I found out that the twinklies are hard to photograph.

I went a little crazy on checkbook covers and made 15 of them! They're so easy and fun to make. I got the pattern here, from Crazy Mom Quilts.

This is a placemat, or candle mat, or mat for a Santa collection... however the buyer wants to use it. The little pretend pie is a gift from a friend of mine.. it's NOT for sale. Isn't it cute? It used to smell like apple pie but lost its smell some time ago.

Today my soon-to-be-daughter-in-law had surgery. It went well, according to the doctors, so we hope she bounces back. She was in pain when I saw her this evening, and the nurse bumped up the pain meds. I hope tomorrow is better for her.
