Another Quilt Top, and Where Did the Time Go?

This weekend I concentrated on blocks for our guild's community service project. I got several blocks made and some block pieces made, and I also assembled this top. I really hoped I'd get this top quilted over the weekend, too, but I ran out of time.

I had some minky scraps and decided to make this toy. It is pretty much the shape of the scraps as they came out of the bag. I might give this to (xxxxx??) for Christmas, although I'm not sure. Gotta keep the name secret, you know! Babies these days are born knowing how to read stuff on the internet.

I'm trying to work harder at keeping my sewing area neat even as I work and in between sewing sessions, but it's really hard to accomplish! The act of sewing itself is by nature a mess.
