My Messy Stash

I have seen some quilters' stash photos and am puzzled at how they keep it so neat. (Diva? Can you explain?) Maybe they only take pictures after a huge cleaning episode.

Well, here is my stash on a normal day. This is most of it; I also have some big pieces and WIPs in bins and some piled disrespectfully on my cutting board.

In fact, I will bare it all here and show you the current state of my cutting mat, too.

This is the look of creativity!

Your creative space works well for you, so don't stress the mess :)

Each person has their own methods of working. Yours is your way. Mine is neater. I've shown lots of in-progress photos on the blog where fabric is here, there, and everywhere in the studio as I'm auditioning or cutting out. But as soon as those activities are done, the fabric gets folded and put back on the shelf. Just the way I'm made. The real trick is to find a system that works for you.

I spent two days cleaning up my space and I got mine to nearly look as good as yours. Perspective.

LOL! We do all have our own systems. I would like to be the neat type of person that you are, Quiltdivajulie, but I just don't have it in me. I'm too antsy to get to the sewing and create the ideas that are swirling around in my head. I have no patience for cleaning. I'm glad my readers are understanding of my creative space!
