Lovely and Talented

The lovely and talented Mary Johnson visited my quilt guild tonight. She was there to explain Heartstrings and how it works. It was great to see Mary again, and to see people in the guild get excited about making string blocks for charities. Our current president is gung-ho on getting us involved in more charity quilting which is fine by me.

We had a really full agenda and got a lot done. Once again, as my life seems to be going these days, it's too late to spend much time jabbering, so I'll just show you some photos and then fall into bed.

I hope the world slows down its spin one of these days. I need to catch up to myself.

P.S. All the members of my guild are lovely and talented.

Oh how lucky that Mary showed some of her amazing stuff! She was so helpful to me when I first started quilting.
Her strippies are what I still use to this day.
Isn't she just a gem? And so much for charities...

What a great guild meeting! Thanks for sharing all the pics--love the redwork and blue work and pieced work. Got any more pics I could love?

Look at you saying such nice things about me.

I enjoyed the meeting and the redwork lecture was a bonus. It was nice seeing you again too -- I hadn't realized you were a member of that guild when I was asked to speak about HeartStrings.

How lovely that you got to see/hear Mary in person at your Guild. She is an inspiration for charity quilting, so I hope she has motivated more of your Guild members to get involved :)
