Indecision

Here are two kid quilts that I don't know what to do with! I bought this first one at a church bazaar. It is very soft and cuddly. I am tempted just to keep it at my house for that Some Day in the future when and if I ever have a baby (a grandchild?) visit. But how silly is that? I already own one quilt that I made for that Some Day child! There are no grandchildren even in the works. If I'm not careful, I'll have a good dozen quilts piled up waiting, and who knows if I'll ever be a grandma! So I should give this to someone who is on this earth and needs a quilt now. I don't lack for places to send it; I just love how cuddly it is and so I want to keep it. (I never used to feel this way. I used to love to give them all away. What is happening to me?)

This second one is a quilt I made from scraps. It's too small for the place I usually send them - so my options are Project Linus? Rosebud? a family at church who just had a baby girl? I bet all three of those options would appreciate the quilt.

What to do, what to do........... sometimes I can be so indecisive.

I love both quilts and I'm sure who ever you bless with the quilts will love them. Hugs JJ

What cute quilts! I love the first one, that is a great way to use novelty prints. I love the pieced border on the second one, very creative.

Give them away. The loss of the quilts will be filled by how good you feel by giving.

I'm with Elaine - there are always so many more "someday" quilts to be made!

As a "seasoned" grandma---3 in 3 years!---go ahead and give them away. The nano-second you hear that one of your own is "with child" you'll start one, no two, no three quilts and then the day they are born you'll start another! Believe me...

I know that you'll do whatever is best, Carol. I LOVE the second one that you have pictured! Scraps look so very good in pink, don't they!

That first quilt really takes me back. A time of good old fashioned whimsy and fun. Wish I had that when I was a little one. I didn't have a quilt then, shame huh? I saved my girls' quilts. The second quilt is really very pretty, I like the color mix.

My favorite is the one with the pink border. I'm afraid I have to agree with the others tho: give it away :- )
