I always swore I'd never live with or like a cat. (I have lived with one, and loved him.)
Before I was a mom I always swore I'd be a perfect mom and would never do this or that or say these awful things. (I did most of them.)
I always told myself I'd never let myself weigh more than 150 lbs. (haha!)
I put away and gave away my knitting stuff, thinking I'd never be interested in knitting again. (I had to buy back lots of the supplies I had given away.)
And I was sure I would never color my hair.
Do you see any gray??? (I love it.)
LOL, I am changing my tune also. I have never ever been tempted to color my hair, but if skunks were red-heads, I'd be turning into one with the white stripe I'm developing! So, I plan on having a serious talk with my hairdresser soon.
ReplyDeleteMy mom used to say "I will never be gray while Ms. Clarol is in business!", I have taken her motto - though I have not seen any grey (yet) - though my kids sure have stressed me out enough to cause it!

ReplyDeleteI have had a box of hair stuff for about 4 months...actually longer..since August! Maybe this weekend!
I started last Spring. My girls do it for me...actually they give me "low lights." Sort of like highlights but with a wonderful deep brown. I still have some gray, but just a little.
ReplyDeleteAh, the vows of childhood, motherhood, and the pre-grayed head! Glad no one else has remembered my "nevers"! Thanks for the laugh :) I have a professional taking care of my hair--which is not gray, it is WHITE--she is my hairstylist daughter.
