My cousin, Peggy, died yesterday. Here are words from her grieving husband, Mike, in an email entitled "My Beautiful Wife."
Our 14 month battle with ovarian cancer is over. It is with a very heavy heart I must report yesterday 05-27-09 at 4:30pm Peggy died as a result ofthe cancer.
Please pray for Mike and for the rest of Peggy's family. Her parents preceded her in death, as did a brother-in-law. Her remaining siblings, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends have lost a dear person, much too soon.
Blessings to Peggy for the wonderful footprints and heartsongs she left in everyone's life and prayers to all of you who miss her and grieve her earthly passing. Loss is the hardest and saddest thing there is in this lifetime, but each time someone passes we are further reminded to love and show love while we are here. And I can tell that this lovely lady did that, as did those who loved her so very much.

ReplyDeleteCarole,
ReplyDeleteMy sincere condolences in the loss of your beautiful cousin. I lost a good friend to ovarian cancer just over two years ago- She left behind three children (boys/ young men 23, 20 and 14 and a bereft husband). They continue to miss her vital presence in their lives -
May you all find comfort from the memories you hold dear of a loved one who was taken way too soon.
With sincere sympathy,
Anna
I'm so sorry. You will all be in my thoughts and prayers.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear of another woman to this dreadful cancer. I hope the family will remember her as she was in her happier healthy days and not with pain and sickness.
